We received a call from the Kern County Animal Services about an older horse who is in desperate need of a lot of TLC, Medical, and Groceries. He was found roaming around an apartment complex in Bakersfield, CA where he was apparently dumped by his owner. We are currently making arrangements to pick him up from the shelter and get him here to the rescue.

Moses is finally home here with us at UAWR. He needs a lot of groceries and medical needs but he is very sweet. We will get him scheduled with the vet to get his teeth done and have him evaluated. In the meantime he will have a mush diet several times per day in order to help his system adjust to eating regularly.

Moses is doing great and eating like a champ. Also, look how cute he is with his blankie on.

Moses had his teeth done today and everything went really well. His teeth were really bad and he is missing several of his back teeth so the vet suggested he remain on soaked pellets with a little bit of hay in order to make eating really easy for him.

We also found out he has Lice which we have been given medication to start treatment for that as well.

WOW!!! Can you believe this the same horse?? It has been 2 months since his arrival and he is coming along so good! He looks wonderful and his energy is defiantly improved as well. He does not even look his age anymore. Thank you so much to everyone who has cheered him on and a HUGE thank you to his sponsors who have helped to ensure his every need is covered!

We recently found out our Moses is amazing and absolutly loves the kids and does an amazing job at packing them around the yard for short little walks. You can see the expression on his face how special he feels taking care of the little ones.
