Dakota was picked up by our rescue when the owner threatened to feed the horse D-Con rat poisoning because he was hard to catch and she could no longer afford to feed him. We were put into action and Thanks to Marilyn and Robbie he is here safe and sound with us. He is an older gelding 25+ years and due to the horrible condition of his feet which appears as if they have not been trimming in at least a year, we do not know if he is ride able, so at this time he is available as pasture pet/companion horse only.

Update: Dakota is a pasture pet only and will not be ride able. So if you or someone you know has some space out in a large area for this sweet old man to live out the rest of his years, please feel free to email us. He gets along with other horses great and would make a great friend for anther horse.
