Elise came to UAWR due to her owner having some health issues where she is unable to physically and financially care for Elise. She wanted to be sure that she would be cared for and loved during the remainder of her life.

So excited Elise has been adopted and has found an amazing family to call her own.

JANUARY 2008

Elise is coming back to UAWR due to no fault of her own. The family who had adopted her has fallen on some hard times and we have all decided it was best for her to come back to UAWR. When any of the horses are adopted out they all go with a signed contract that states they must be returned if the adopted no longer wants them or can no longer care for them. That way we can be sure they are always cared for properly and in a safe place.

Elise is doing great and is currently looking for her forever home. She is great in the arena but requires a bit more confident rider on the trails.

Elise had her teeth floated today and she did amazing!

Horses need their teeth floated (a process of rasping or filing down sharp edges) to maintain optimal dental health which prevents discomfort and problems chewing or eating. Uneven wear of a horse’s teeth can lead to sharp points or hooks that can cause discomfort, injuries to the cheeks and tongue, and make it difficult for the horse to eat properly.

Elise is a lucky girl and is headed off to a new foster home. She will become the companion to another horse and be spoiled rotten and loved on.
