Making a Difference for One Animal at a Time!

Sanctuary Residents – A Lifetime of Love and Safety
At Under the Angel’s Wings Rescue, Inc., we believe that every life has value—regardless of age, medical condition, or behavioral challenges. While many of the animals we rescue go on to find adoptive homes, some are deemed “unadoptable” due to ongoing health issues, trauma-related behaviors, or special care needs that make traditional adoption difficult. For these animals, we provide lifelong sanctuary, ensuring they receive the comfort, safety, and dignity they deserve.
Our sanctuary residents become permanent members of our family. They are surrounded by love, compassion, and consistent care from dedicated volunteers and staff who understand their unique needs. Whether it’s a senior horse with chronic health conditions or a dog who struggles to trust after a history of abuse, our sanctuary offers a peaceful, stable home where they can live out their lives with kindness and respect. Their journey may not have led to adoption—but it has led to a place where they are truly seen, valued, and cherished.offer them a safe, caring environment and, when possible, a forever home.
Equine Sanctuary
Our horse sanctuary residents are often older equines or those with chronic medical conditions, past trauma, or special needs that make adoption unlikely. These horses find a forever home with us, where they can live out their days in peace, surrounded by gentle care, open space, and understanding hearts. Whether they require daily medication, special diets, or simply a calm environment to feel safe, we are committed to giving them the dignity, love, and comfort they deserve for the rest of their lives.

Canine Sanctuary
At UAWR, we welcome many senior dogs who simply need a place to rest, be loved, and receive the care they deserve for whatever time they have left. These sweet souls often come to us from shelters where their age makes them the last to be chosen and the first at risk. In our sanctuary, they’re given a warm, safe environment, veterinary support, and, most importantly, constant love and companionship. We believe every dog deserves comfort, dignity, and kindness in their golden years—and we’re honored to provide that final chapter filled with peace and care.
Life at UAWR for the younger Sanctuary Dog Residents means safety, patience, and unconditional love. Many of these dogs have endured neglect, abuse, or extended time in shelters, leaving them with emotional scars or medical conditions that make adoption unlikely. Here, they are given the time and space to heal at their own pace, surrounded by people who understand their needs. Whether they require ongoing medical care, behavioral support, or simply a quiet place to rest, our sanctuary gives them the second chance they deserve—to live with peace, purpose, and plenty of tail wags.
